Toyota's "Project BLAID"
On March 7th, Toyota announced a concept for a piece of wearable technology that could assist the visually impaired with their navigation in the world around them. The device would be placed on top of the wearer's shoulders and is set up with cameras to detect the composition of indoor spaces. The person wearing this device could also ask questions about what's surrounding them and the technology would signal them using speakers or vibrations as responses. However, Toyota has not yet announced a release date for said technology.
